My Life & Music
Roxy Searle is an acoustic singer-songwriter from Hertfordshire.
Her journey began at the tender age of 4 when her enthusiasm and passion for the theatre were harnessed and channeled.
It wasn’t long before Roxy signed with Sylvia Young’s Agency.
For many years after The West End staged her undeniable talents, first starring as Jemima Potts understudy / Leisel in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang followed by a lead role in Mary Poppins starring as Jane Banks.
Prince Edward and London Palladium Theatres housed thousands of spectators for hundreds of shows during Roxy’s career.
It was inevitable that Roxy would appear on T.V. A few to mention are adverts for Lloyds TSB, Woolworths, BT Broadband, featured in Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Disney’s As the Bell Rings, and performing with DJ Casper at the Disney Channel Awards for his hit song “Cha Cha Slide” at The Royal Albert Hall.
An Artist is born
It was clear that Roxy had begun to develop her own identity beyond the characters she played.
This realisation was solidified in time when she picked up the guitar, Reborn, Roxy Searle became an Artist.
Now focused on writing and performing her own material, Roxy studied at North Hertfordshire Music Academy for 2 years continuing to develop her own sound.
Infectious and captivating, her music has spread far and wide from ears to hearts.
Roxy has performed for the Italian Embassy, at the Warner Brother Studios and at Wembley Stadium.
She has also performed at numerous festivals, on many radio stations and on national TV.
Still learning and growing, Roxy continues to write, record and perform her own songs.
FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
I was lucky enough to perform in front of the “This Morning” presenters and crew on stage, outside the BBC Studios.
I may have freaked out a little as I had a fangirl moment meeting Holly Willoughby!
I was about to go into the Theatre to do a show “Mary Poppins” In the West End and sat outside was Kylie Minogue, honestly, I couldn’t believe it, she was about to see the show and when I told her I was playing Jane Banks she said she should be getting my autograph… People say don’t meet your heroes, but she was the most genuine woman ever!
She even let me hold her pug dog… and just so you know, I’m obsessed with dogs!
